Halotrope – Heat & Light is a product development studio established in the district of Porto, Portugal, circa 2022 to formalise an independent practice in the domains of lighting and heating. The studio designs, develops and manufactures commissioned innovation projects for professional clients. We also offer products and solutions for consumers (a web shop will be made available shortly).
We are able to deliver advanced and highly specialised solutions developed in close association with our clients, following effective design frameworks. Amongst the core competencies, it is timely to mention ergonomics, computational design, 3D CAD, CAE and CAM, programming, embedded electronics and IoT, digital twins, rapid prototyping, materials and fabrication.
With this set of tools at our disposal, we will confidently tackle any given challenge for both small series and mass production. When needed we also manage externalisation through a wide network of trusted partners when needed.
Our mission is to deliver multi-stage bespoke innovation, materialised as heating and lighting solutions, with maximum flexibility.
